J.O.Y. Behind Bars
J.O.Y. Behind Bars is a nonprofit organization founded in the state of Alabama by retired Educator & Counselor, Eddream Lawrence.
We mentor, tutor, counsel, and offer spiritual support for the parents of incarcerated children.
We also provide spiritual support in local jails for inmates and connect with their families on the outside to ensure stability in our communities, particularly in the areas of education and social services.
J.O.Y. Behind Bars is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before.
We work on many exciting service related projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make.
